# Run as Admin by Default on Windows

**Right click** the **node-launchpad.exe** file

Click **Properties**

Navigate to the **Compatibility** tab on the top

Under **Settings**, check **Run this program as an administrator**

The node-launchpad.exe will now run the program as an administrator my default
