# How to Create a MetaMask Wallet
In this guide we'll walk you through creating a MetaMask wallet, and configuring it to work with Autonomi Network Tokens.

To begin, go to: and **click Get MetaMask**.

Now **click Add to Chrome**.
The page will adjust depending on your browser. It should install just fine in Chrome, Firefox, and Brave.

**Click Add Extension**

{% step %}
Now click the **checkbox “I agree to MetaMask’s Terms of Use”**, and **click Create a new wallet**.

**Click No thanks**
{% endstep %}

**Create a password**
1. Make sure it's at least 8 characters
2. You'll need to confirm it
3. **Check the checkbox** so you understand you'll need to keep your password safe
4. Then click **Create a Wallet**

Now let's get your secret recovery phrase so you can access your MetaMask wallet from anywhere in the world. **Click Secure my wallet**

**Click Reveal Secret Recovery Phrase**

**Now you will see your recovery phrase**
This should be written down on paper so you can store it somewhere safe.

**Note:** Never take a screenshot of your recovery phrase, store in Notepad, etc. This should be written down on paper and put somewhere safe. Anyone with these 12, 18, or 24 words can access your wallet, and therefore any of your assets witin.

Now we need to verify the words and **click Confirm**
This step helps you confirm you've taken them down correctly.

**Click Got it**, then **Next**, then **Done**

You've now successfully created an Ethereum wallet.
