While the Autonomi Network it works with common blockchain payment systems to make the Network accessible and easy to integrate alongside other decentralized solutions.
So ANT uses the Ethereum payment system for ethis reason.
But in order to make payments efficient and low cost, ANT utilises Arbitrum Network—which is what is know as an L2 blockchain—which sits oin top of Ethereum. This means much lower transactions fees (known as Gas) even for small amounts of data, than if it were to use the Ethereum main net directly. Arbitrum One is simply the name of the live production network,
So, speaking practically:
Any Ethereum address can receive ANT
You'll need an Arbitrum compatible wallet
You'll also need configure it to be able to see and use your ANT
Yes! You can buy and trade ANT on Uniswap V3, and PancakeSwap too.
It's an unfortunate fact that most centralised exchanges aren't available to everyone everywhere, do to the complexities of local regulations. However, you can in many cases still use Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) to buy ANT, in conjunction with an exchange you can access in your area. For example: Use Coinbase to buy some USDC, then use Uniswap to exchange this for ANT.
Nothing! In fact, you get paid for running a node, or as many nodes as you want. They are designed to run on everyday computers.
Autonomi nodes are designed to work on everyday home devices. So even relatively modest-performance computers will happily run a node, or even many nodes at once.
Each node uses around 35 GB of storage space, as well as some CPU, memory, and of course Internet bandwidth.
Our easy-to-use Node Launchpad software is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux.
Many people use typical home computers, or even RaspberryPis, to contribute to the Network.
There are options for more advanced users to utilise their headless computers, home servers, or virtual environments.
But we'd encourage you to start with what you already have. It's probably right in front of you.
A typical home PC will be able to run several nodes at once, and you can start nodes on as many computers as you like. We'd recommend you start just a few nodes to begin, and then add more gradually as your computer and Internet connection capacity allows.
Now many ANT you can earn depends on a number of factors such as:
How many nodes you are running on your devices
How long, and how reliably they are storing and serving data
The demand for data storage on the Network at a given time
So while we can't give you a direct answer, we can recommend you dive in and give it a try. It's straightforward and even, dare we say it, fun!
No! You don't have to convert all your MaidSafeCoin in one go. You could choose to try the process with a small amount first, should you wish.ou could choose to try the process with a small amount first, should you wish.
If you leave your eMAID on the BitMart exchange after the 6th of February, it will automatically be converted to ANT for you.
If you have MaidSafeCoin on another exchange you will need to withdraw it and follow the process to convert it by receiving the ANT airdrop.
The final deadline to convert is February 3rd, 2028, with the very last airdrop happening on February 3rd, 2028. We'd recommend you follow the instructions, and convert well in advance of this deadline.
