The process involves using the OmniWallet app to sign your address and then sending your MAID to a burn address, collecting key information as you do. You'll then submit this information via a form, and receive your ANT via a scheduled airdrop.
Below is a step-by-step guide, with the information you'll need to save as you go highlighted in green. We'd recommend you read through it to familiarise yourself with the overall process.
Download and install an ANT compatible wallet such as MetaMask
Ensure your wallet is set to the Arbitrum One Network
Copy your wallet address (otherwise known as an ETH address) for the next step. This is the wallet your ANT will be sent to. You'll need this for the final step too.
Log into your OmniWallet
Navigate to My Wallet > My Addresses to view your stored addresses
Click on the Actions button next to the address containing your MAID and select Sign Message
Paste your ETH wallet address into the text box. This is the same wallet from Step 1, and it's where you'll receive your ANT via airdrop
Click "Sign Message" to generate a signature
Copy and save this signature. you'll need to submit this in the final step
Copy and save the Omni Address containing your MAID, as you'll need to submit that in the final step too.
Ensure you have a small amount of Bitcoin in your OmniWallet to cover the transaction fees. The fee is the same regardless of how much you are sending. To get a accurate estimate of how much you may need, you can check the Bitcoin Average Transaction Fee. As an example, it cost as little as $2 worth of BTC a few days ago. So, $10 worth of BTC would be more than sufficient, even if fees increase temporarily.
Navigate to My Wallet > Send
Enter the amount of MAID (full integers) you wish to swap then…
Send it to this burn address:
This may look like it's not a valid address, but it is. It contains the warning DontSend
as it will burn any tokens or BTC sent to it… but it is the correct address to send to in order to burn your MAID as part of the conversion process.
Save a copy of the Transaction Hash that you are shown aften sending to this address. You'll need to submit it in the final step.
To complete the airdrop, you'll need to submit the following details through this Airdrop Form
✅ The ETH Wallet Address where you want receive your ANT tokens, copied from Step 1 — which should be the same address used to sign the message in Step 2
✅ The Signed Message Signature you copied at the end of Step 2
✅ The Omni Address you sent your MAID from in Step 3
✅ The Burn Transaction Hash you saved the end of Step 3
The information you submit will be used by the Autonomi Foundation only to validate and process your airdrop of ANT, and will be held for no longer than 30 days after the airdrop transaction is completed, after which it will be deleted. We use the third party tool Typeform to collect this submission data. No other personally identifiable information (such as an email or IP Address) is collected nor processed by the Autonomi Foundation with this submission. This is to protect your personal data. It means that you cannot be contacted about your submission, so please check the details carefully! We'd recommend keeping a copy of this information until after your receive your ANT airdrop.
Your ANT tokens will be airdropped to the same ETH wallet from you used to sign the message in Step 2 and that you submitted in Step 4. The number of tokens received will match the number of burned tokens 1:1. Please be patient, as airdrops will be made according to a set schedule.
In order to see the ANT in your wallet, make sure to and .
You don't have to convert all your MaidSafeCoin in one go. You could choose to try the process with a small amount first, should you wish.
