For Linux Users

  1. Unzip the download

  2. The Node Launchpad will now open in a terminal window.

  3. If you intend to participate in the Beta Rewards Program press Ctrl B. It’s optional! If you don’t want to participate and compete for rewards, you can still run a node and contribute. Just skip to Step 7. You can always join later.

  4. You’ll be prompted to accept the Terms & Conditions. Have a read, and if you are happy to continue Press Y.

  5. Now type in your Discord Username, and then Press Enter. Note: Your username may be different to your Display Name. Be careful, as this is how your earnings will be tracked. Careful, no typos!

  6. Now Press Ctrl G to start some nodes.

  7. Press the up and down arrows to choose the number of nodes you want to start, then Press Enter to start them. We’d recommend you start no more than 5 to begin. Each will use 5GB of storage space, some memory, CPU, and some of your internet connection.

  8. You’ll see the node(s) you’ve started appear in a list. They may take a few moments to start, but when they do they’ll turn green. They will be gathering data, then serving it to the Beta Network. If you’ve added several nodes, you can scroll the list with the up and down arrow keys.

  9. You’ll see the amount of storage space used, and the amount of Nanos they have earned in the Device Status panel.

  10. If you are joining the Beta Rewards Program and have added your Username in Step 4, any Nanos you earn will be sent from your device to be tracked on the Leaderboard

  11. As soon as the first Nano is received, and you've been accepted, the Autonomi Discord Bot will add you to a Wave. It can take around 15 minutes for the Discord Bot and the leaderboards to update, so be patient once you've earned some Nanos.

  12. Congratulations! You can now track your place on your Wave leaderboard, and you’re in line for some rewards.
